SpeedyPrep was designed with one idea in mind: to offer CLEP preparation material that truly prepares a subscriber to pass their exam. We also wanted to keep our prices reasonable and membership flexible for our subscribers to keep their education costs down.
It's good, a few type-o's sure-but it's a great tool for memorizing/preparing for CLEP tests.
By the way, I don't know what "Timeliness" stands for, so I just put '3'.
My son did not pass the Sociology Exam(aug 2019) using Speedy Prep . He was 2 months away from his 16th birthday. This is the response I got from Speedyprep.
SpeedyPrep questions are not CLEP exam questions. We teach the facts, concepts, vocabulary, and processes about a subject. The student will have to analyze the CLEP questions to choose the correct answer on the exam. This is why we require that students be 16 or older. Young people are memorization machines, but CLEP exams require analysis to answer. That higher function brain development comes a bit later in the growth process during the teen years.
I have taken one CLEP exam without using SpeedyPrep, and am currently working on my fourth one with SpeedyPrep. On my first exam (US History II), I scored a 52. On every exam I've taken with SpeedyPrep, even the more challenging exams (like Humanities), my scores have risen and sit a little below a 60 consistently. In total, I have taken Sociology, Analysis & Interpretation of Literature, Humanities, and US History II. I like SpeedyPrep because it gives me a good amount of repetition for questions, and every question (except for a few) are fill-in-the-blank. This forces you to memorize information. Additionally, when determining which exam to take next, I use SpeedyPrep. I go to an exam I'm considering and see how many total questions are on SpeedyPrep for that exam. That gives me a rough idea of how hard the exam is, and how long I'll need to study. I have also always taken exams before I hit 90% total on SpeedyPrep and passed with room to spare. Another nice feature is that you get access to study materials for almost every CLEP exam, which means that buying a 3 month membership is a pretty good deal. Thanks to CLEP exams (and this website), I'll be able to graduate on time with two majors, a minor, and a graduate degree.

You've really given people a great explanation that only a subscriber can give. Thank you for sharing your experience and your insights. Congratulations on passing so many CLEPs, too!
With Speedy Prep, I have earned 36 hours of CLEP credit so far. My only complaint is that they don't have every course covered yet. Keep it up, Speedy Prep. We need you!

Congratulations! We are working towards adding courses.
Speedy Prep was an awesome resource to help me prep for my CLEP test. I love that for every question I was asked, Speedy Prep provided extra information about that specific topic rather than just marking wrong or right. There were many questions on my CLEP that I knew because of using Speedy Prep.

We are so glad you've said this. We work to make our courses comprehensive. Thanks for posting!
I only had two weeks to prepare for my US History I CLEP test and I had heard about Speedy Prep from my friend so I decided to try it out. I saw a lot of the information on Speedy Prep on my test and I passed on my first try!

Congratulations on passing your CLEP! Thanks for mentioning how you used the program in a short time frame to prepare, setting your own pace in order to 'ace'!
This is a GREAT resource to use to study for CLEP classes. It thoroughly prepared me for English Composition, and psychology! It was helpful for BOTH history exams. I passed every CLEP test, I needed, with the help of SpeedyPrep. I only wish the history was less jumbled and more chronological. I had to use modernstates.org to fully prepare for my history tests. Although I did pass my history exams, the score were not very high and I truly think it would have better prepared me if the study questions were ALL chronological. Not just chronological by section.

Thank you for your review and congratulations on passing your exams. We agree that learning History in chronological order is probably the easiest way for remembering what you have learned. Our program alters chronology in our History courses for one primary reason - it helps to avoid unintentional memorization of the answers. The subscriber has to engage with each question each time they encounter it. We hope this helps to explain this issue.
Thanks again, and best of luck to you! SpeedyPrep
