Trying to work with 3:23 was the absolute worst experience. I paid a 20% deposit, as stated in their contract, to schedule an appointment. The job was to replace portions of existing fence with privacy fencing. Prior to that appointment, my husband and I trimmed trees and removed a shed that the estimator said was in the way. The day of my appointment rolls around and no one shows up. I call the office at 10am asking for an ETA and don't get a response until 3pm. I'm asked to reschedule and I do. The day of the reschedule rolls around and no one shows up or calls. I call the office to ask for an ETA and am told they will be there in the afternoon and there is a chance my job will be done by the end of the day. I don't know how that would be possible given that fencing needs to be removed and concrete needs to set. Contractors finally arrive at 4pm and inform us that they don't have enough material and the jobs is bigger than they expected. They also said that more pruning was needed and the shed did not have to be removed. An agreement was made with Roland on the additional cost to correct the estimate. The contractors were not prepared to prune the trees, even though the contract says 3:23 would do this work. He used our chainsaw to do pruning, and ultimately needed to stop because they found a wasp nest in the brush. Next day, Maegan sends me an accusatory email stating that my original request was ~20ft short of what was needed, but their estimator came out and remeasured and based the quote on that. My original request should not matter. By this point, I was very annoyed that it was so difficult to get them to meet a scheduled appointment and I had been rearranging my schedule for the week to accommodate them. I called Maegan to cancel the contract and get my deposit back. She said that was impossible as I had signed a contract. But they were unable to fulfill that contract by not showing up on the scheduled date. I told her that their communication is lacking and I should not be the one to have to call the office to figure out when the contractors would arrive. To which she responded, how am I supposed to know my contractors' schedule? So, really there is no hope for customers if 3:23 doesn't even know their own schedule. Maegan said they already bought the materials with my deposit, so I asked to have that if my deposit could not be returned. The contractors dropped off only about 1/3 of my deposit amount. I told Maegan this was not sufficient. She argued with us and hours later she finally wrote us an email saying the contractors didn't drop off everything and there was more waiting at Home Depot. She also said that we had stolen profits from her by cancelling our contract so we are not entitled to our deposit and they had planned to finish my fence that day. Again, not true or possible. And, when I picked up the rest of the materials, I saw that she had ordered it the same day this all happened. There was no way they were going to finish my fence if they didn't even have all of the the materials. And, had I not followed up with her, she would have never given me the rest of the materials, which was only about another 1/3 of my deposit amount. This company has continually lied to us and was unable to fulfill their end of a contract. They stole my money and refuse to return the rest. They have poor communication and did not care about me, the customer. They only care about their bottom line. They preach about being a small, family run business, but I guarantee they don't care about your family or your hard earned money.
