Could not calculate appropriate square footage carpet needed for a 12'3' X 11'6" room. Sent an inept installer who brought no tack strip and had no clue as to where to put the carpet to cut it nor how to begin to cut it. When I complained, two hours later the project manager brought tack strip, but the installer was gone. Project manager said he would reschedule with a different, qualified installer; but, instead, the project manager set up an installation on a Sunday morning at eight with THE SAME INSTALLER. No thanks. I hired my own installer who had it done next-day. I asked Akel's for reimbursement of the 400 it cost me to install and for which I had already paid Akel's. Akel's refused. Interesting that Akel's and all carpet companies in the area take 100% prior to installation and then Akel's doesn't give a whit about getting the job done correctly. Save yourself lots of trouble: do not try to deal with Akel's.
