Dr. Allison Singer is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in the treatment of pediatric, adolescent and adult skin disorders, skin cancer prevention and treatment, cosmetic dermatology, and nutritional supplementation for optimal skin health. She values compassionate care and the long-term relationships she builds with her patients.
“The real joy of practicing dermatology is in caring for the entire family, from moms and dads, to baby and kids, and even grandparents” says Dr. Singer. “We’re able to build long-term relationships and our patients become like an extension of our family.”
With a passion for skin care from the inside out, Dr. Singer believes it’s important to treat patients as a whole, not just their skin. “The skin is a bellwether of overall health. When all systems of your body are healthy, your skin will glow. When there’s a systemic problem in the body, the skin is often the first place it will show.”
Dr. Singer’s medical education began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans, La. where she graduated with honors. She earned her Medical Doctorate with honors from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. While in medical school, Dr. Singer was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the Janice M. Glasgow Award as an outstanding female medical student. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and her residency in dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She also served as Chief Resident at Parkland Memorial Hospital her senior year. Following her medical training, Dr. Singer remained on the faculty of the University of Texas Southwestern as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Dermatology prior to going into private practice. Dr. Singer joined Dallas Associated Dermatologists in August 2017.
In her free time, Dr. Singer enjoys spending time with her husband, Randy, and their very active twin boys.
