Hannah Shaw 8 reviews a week ago NEW We've encountered Alpine twice now. First was around 2015-2016- they saw my son and recommended him for tubes in his ears and a tonsillectomy, and was told it was very urgent and important. After running through insurance benefits, they came back and said surgery would not be covered and gave us our price for out of pocket care (which was A LOT for us at the time). I asked how urgent the need for surgery was, and they told me it actually wasn't very urgent and was an elective procedure. Interesting that if insurance would have covered it, it was "urgent." Regardless, we cancelled surgery and had great success using chiropractic care and diet changes to resolve his issues. My next encounter was April 2023. I hoped they were different since my last encounter. I met with Dr. McKnight, who is a FANTASTIC surgeon and I highly recommend! However, it seems Alpine opts for shady billing practices. I received an estimate for my sinus surgery and assumed that would be paid at time of service. I received a call 2 days before surgery and was told I needed to pay my "patient portion" or surgery would be cancelled, so I made the payment. As the weeks passed from surgery, I received bills from the center, anesthesiologist, etc. All of those bills equaled my $7000 deductible, but the payment I made to Alpine put my bills about $3000 higher than my deductible. I called insurance to figure out what was going on, and they didn't see the payment to Alpine anywhere, and informed me that they had paid Alpine and my patient responsibility was $0. I called Alpine and was informed that they took my payment to "sit on in case insurance didn't pay" and that they would refund me if insurance paid out. That was not disclosed to me up front, and if I had only saved enough for my deductible, I would have been in a real bind. Seems Alpine likes to take interest-free loans from patients. I called back a couple of weeks later to check the status of my refund, and they told me "Ok, we'll go ahead and request that now." My previous call, I was told I WOULD be refunded and there was no mention about needing to formally request it. Now they had continued to sit on my money because I hadn't formally requested it. So, went through that process. Then they tell me refunds take 30-45 days to process. So, you DEMAND my money instantly, but get to take as long as you please to refund the money you wrongfully took to begin with? Shady crooks. Even if your services are covered by insurance, I would strongly recommend finding somewhere else to do business. This is how they treat their patients and it's wrong. If I had not called back to check on the status of my refund, they would have never refunded me and continued to be double-paid for my services. In fact, I have still yet to see my refund, so I guess we'll see how this all turns out.

I was very disappointed with my visit .Dr. Gill was nice but I got virtually no help with my sleep apnea...it was a waste of time.

After having an MRI done, a nodule was found on my thyroid. I was referred to Dr. Gill. After a thorough examination, a biopsy was performed. I had a malignant tumor on my thyroid. Dr. Gill , his nurses and staff did an outstanding job leading me through this difficult time. This was the first time that I had surgery, under anesthesia, in my 75 years of life. Having asthma, added to my nervousness. I couldn’t have been in better hands than Dr. Gill. He is brilliant , personable and clear in his explanations. I can’t thank him enough for carrying me through this ordeal.

Was contacted to pick up my repaired hearing aids at the Greeley office When I tried them on, they did not work so I was told to have a seat to be seen by an audiologist. After about 40 minutes the receptionist asked me if "I had somewhere to go". I answered that, since I waited this long, I might as well wait a few more minutes. After an hour+ I asked the receptionist if I am on the list to be seen. I was told there is no list and that audiologists were seeing people with reservations. I asked why I was told to wait and if I can be seen when the Last patient was done. I was told (nastily) to come back in the morning. This is no way to treat anyone, let alone a customer!

I struggled for three years with Costco hearing aids. My wife urged me to see an ENT. I went to Dr Hyde and Dr. Whittey at Alpine ENT. I was diagnosed with nerve loss in the left ear, with severe hearing loss. My right ear had minimal hearing loss. Dr. Hyde ruled out any medical cause and prescribed Bi-Cross hearing aids. Dr. Whittey fitted the new hearing aids. As a result my life is wonderfully changed. I have surround sound. My problems with balance went away. I do not become tired in the late afternoon because of compensating for the hearing loss. All in all, my life is changed for the much better. Thank you.

Dr. Gill and the entire staff were ultimate professionals. Finding myself in need of throat surgery, a scary prospect, I’m so happy to have had a surgeon with many cases like mine. He, and staff, made me feel I was in good hands.

I will be forever grateful to Dr. Gill and his staff at the Loveland office. I had been waiting 4 months for a thyroidectomy in another state and due to the pandemic it kept getting postponed. Dr. Gill’s office staff went above and beyond to make my surgery happen. Dr. Gill came highly recommended and rightly so. He was informative, caring, reassuring, and most important, a highly qualified and excellent surgeon! I have worked in trauma centers my whole career and know what good surgery should be. My recovery was quick with minimal scar tissue because of Dr. Gill’s surgical skills. His staff at the Loveland office were efficient, knowledgeable, and and helpful. I can’t thank them all enough!

I am so very appreciative of the top-notch, professional care I receive at Alpine ENT. The nursing staff is friendly and complete on noting your information and issues. Dr. Robertson is thorough and caring. He answered all of my questions and concerns related to the issues with my ears during the visit. He set me at ease and made suggestions on what I might do next with the tinnitus I was experiencing. Because the audiology service (All About Hearing) is part of the overall clinic, the referral for care is seamless and well-coordinated. I have been seeing Dr. Whittey (Brenna) for care there for several years, for hearing tests and subsequently hearing aids. Brenna completes a thorough hearing assessment and asks you about individual concerns, needs and desires when it comes to your hearing. She does a wonderful job of explaining any hearing loss noted and spends time discussing how to maintain good hearing, suggested improvements with hearing aids if needed and decreasing/minimizing tinnitus if that’s an issue. She is very knowledgeable about features of different hearing aids (both old and new). She has assisted me with hearing aids with features that mesh well with my individual hearing loss and my lifestyle. She’s the best! Like many medical offices these days, your phone call will go to a voice mail system. I have always received a call back. If there is a wait for an appointment it is definitely worth it. I highly recommend Alpine ANT and All About Hearing.
