We scheduled a multi component surgery for our dog (at the recommendation of the surgeon that it could all be done at once ). Our dog came home the day , and the same night we watched him suffocate to death due to sudden airway swelling . We rushed him there , they worke d on him and he was never revived . The answer we got was that “he had been through a lot “, and “this sometimes happen “. Quite different than the assurance we got prior to the surgery .
It gets worse .
That night we had a very specific conversation with the Dr in regards to what we wanted to do with his remains , we clearly informed her we wanted him to be cremated . She relayed to us his remains would be ready in a week .
2 weeks past and we didn’t get a call . So we contacted them . They told us , they didn’t know what we wanted to do with his body . This was a highly false statement as we had a very clear conversation.
For 2 weeks , our dogs body has been somewhere (we have not been told where it has been “stored”). For 2 weeks NO ONE made any attempt to contact us .
We are saddened for his body , that shortly after death it was placed somewhere and forgotten about . We are angered and feel disrespected in regards to the sudden and unexpected death of a member of our family .
The amount of added grief and sorrow this has created is immeasurable.
I have sent an email asking who is accountable , where the body of my dog is , and where the fallout is . I have received NO answers .
Had I known then , what I know know about the disorganization , disrespect and incompetence of this facility I would have NEVER trusted them with my dog when he was alive .
Look elsewhere for your loved ones.
