Don’t be the fish on the end of the hook! Ms. King is so full of crap and her soul is horrible! She comes off like she cares but this lady and Mr. Booker can actually give the least bit of a care of how we feel when it comes to our education or anything about our concerns. I don’t understand how a person can talk about God so much yet be satin himself! Upon gathering information to decide whether I was going to attend the school or not was completely different from actually attending! We were promised books, uniforms, externships, help with critiquing our résumé, as well as help with job placement! We were giving a binder with photo copies of a book that she purchased no booksbooks of our own, no workbooks, there were no quizzes, there was no homework, and there was nothing to help prepare us for these exams but ourselves! From the very first day of class to the ending it was a complete nightmare and I’m not even exaggerating! We had several teachers that would come and interview show up for one day or so and quit! We had a teacher come in as if it was a group therapy session and spill her entire life when we were supposed to be learning. Then on the days when she would teach, she’d be teaching us things that had absolutely nothing to do with phlebotomy. Myself and the other students would express our concerns to Ms. King as well as the instructor and even went as far as talking to Mr. Booker ( the guy who supposedly owns the school) and the response we would get was “ how dare you voice your opinion, silence at once” they basically could have cared less about anything we said or how we felt especially after receiving the funds which is all King cares about! Now here it is a pandemic going on and there’s literally no jobs and we’re attending a vocational training school to be more qualified to work the jobs that will forever be available (medical field) and the results of service were unbelievably horrible! The crazy part is when I looked at the reviews on the school which weren’t many there were some bad things that were said but I thought to myself maybe that was their experience but man I regret not taking that review at face value because it could have saved my time and effort that I put into a school that shouldn’t even be existing! The point is that it’s the principle that you don’t play with people because it’s disrespectful especially coming from an establishment that’s supposed to be professional! I wouldn’t want someone playing around with my education or well-being or lying about what’s expected from the school and not get it, I’d be highly upset! There’s no working hot water, some of the toilets don’t work! You can only use one socket or else a fuse will blow! Now the class were participants of the WIAO program, a program that assists an individual with funds to cover the cost of attending the school! We addressed our concerns to them as well and they said they needed to hear everyone’s opinion on the issue and when everyone told them the concerns NOTHING WAS DONE! I was extremely shocked that six of us reached out to this program to let them know our concerns desperate for some help and absolutely nothing was done for a program this valuable to an individual as well as the schools that are benefiting from it I would have thought or concerns would have been addressed and after complaining for so long and see nothing being done myself and the other students just suffered in silence! We stopped saying anything and taught ourselves the necessary things needed in order to pass the exams even if that meant purchasing materials which we did in order to learn the correct information! Overall the school is horrible and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone even if they were offering it for free!!! Find another school because I sure wish I did! They only got 1 star because that’s what I had to choose or else they would have gotten ZERO!
