Not Your Average Architecture Firm
We were excited to learn all about CICADA and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with co-founder, Seamus Mcguire.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes CICADA stand apart from its competitors. Seamus said:
“We are attentive to our clients’ needs; we’re punctual when maintaining deliverables, and we’re communicative throughout the entire process. We’re in the business of service, so we have to make sure that our clients are happy, we listen to them and we’re providing them with the service they need.”
He went on to tell us about how they stay aware of their impact on the community, saying:
“Ultimately, we’re in the business of architecture, and a lot of what we do impacts the community greatly, whether it’s how people inhabit the buildings we design or the building itself within the ecosystem — is it sustainable, is it sensitive to the environment around us? …We’re having a lot of flooding, so we have to do a lot of stormwater management. We have to be delicate with the designs in which we put our buildings and how people inhabit them.”
