Not Your Average Auto Shop
We were excited to learn all about Ron’s Auto Repair Center and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Richard Martens.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Ron’s Auto Repair Center stand apart from its competitors. Richard and his wife, Lisa, bought the shop in 2007, and it has since been a locally-owned shop, not a franchise. They have an experienced staff; some of whom have been working in the industry for 20+ years! Richard told us that one of the advantages of having such a dedicated and familiar staff is that everyone who works at Ron’s Auto Repair Center is also actively involved in the community. He believes in staying involved in the work himself and told us about some of his best business practices:
“We try to treat everybody as fairly as we can, and we explain everything as best we can. When they need repairs, we educate them as to why. I try to be involved, and I’ll spend time talking with the customers.”
He went on to tell us about their business’ mission:

Ron’s Auto Repair Center has earned a phenomenal reputation, so we were excited to hear about some of the ways they have spread the word about their business. Richard told us that they always send their customers thank you postcards, they occasionally send out mailers, and they have just started running a TV ad.
