Dave Hoiten, the “Dave” in Dave’s Barber Shop, took a few minutes to talk with us about his business’ fabulous online reputation.
First things first, we asked Dave how he manages to set his barber shop so far apart from their local competition. He told us that it is all about service, saying, “You have to be personable, first of all. You’ve got to have a clean operation and just be truly fair.”
Dave’s mission is to treat all of his guests with the utmost care. He told us, “We treat the kids right. I cater to the kids. I just try to leave the kids with good things so they know it’s a safe haven to come to.”
Building Success Through Individualized Service
Of course, we couldn’t let Dave go without finding out what he considers to be his secret to success. According to him, it’s actually relatively simple — he treats every single customer well. “I just do personal business and handle every customer as an individual,” he said.
