We were excited to learn all about Ethan Hunter Salon and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Jessica Hunter.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Ethan Hunter Salon stand apart from its competitors. Jessica said:
“We want to make people feel welcomed like they are coming into our home.”

Building Success, Online And Off
Ethan Hunter Salon has earned a fantastic reputation, so we asked Jessica how they have managed to grow their business and get their name out. She said that they are always sure to post their work on Instagram and Facebook. We also asked what their secret has been to getting such great reviews online. Jessica said:
“We believe that taking care of the customer is the most important thing you can do. If you give an excellent product and you care for your clients, they are going to want to leave you great feedback.”
In addition to building the kind of online reputation that any small business would envy, Ethan Hunter Salon has spread the word about who they are and what they do by finding ways to give back. Jessica told us:
“We were very young when we started the business. We moved out to Minnesota and purchased a business from a local person there. I have never met anyone more determined than my husband, and it was his mentality that helped us make it. A special place in our heart is focused on children with medical issues; we have taken in children that needed an extra person in their life until they were in a better spot with their family, and we keep in touch with others in our community.”

“Keep it simple, and stay humble. Do not be afraid to be ‘rice and beans’ while you get your dreams started, because you won’t make a ton of money right away. When we started out, we worked a minimum of 60-hour weeks.”
