Jon Hedgecorth, who co-owns RAD Barber Shop with Reya Goggin, generously gave us a few minutes of his time to tell us about this one-of-a-kind business and its award-winning online reputation.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that sets RAD Barber Shop apart from the many other barber shops in Missouri. Here’s Jon’s response:
“We are a RAD barber shop. We want to be different by bringing back old techniques, like hot towels and straight razors. But we want to bring that modern feel. We don’t alienate anyone, and everyone is welcome regardless of age and gender. We have an awesome atmosphere, with pictures on the wall and a rad feel. Everyone feels welcome, and that supports human connections in our shop.”
Jon went on to say:

When we asked Jon about RAD Barber Shop’s secret to such a strong online reputation, he said:
