Not Your Average Barber Shop
We wanted to learn all about Red Barbershop & Salon and its impressive online reputation, so we took a few minutes to talk with the owner, Cesar Reyes.
The first question we had for Cesar was what is it that sets Red Barbershop & Salon apart from their competition in Rhode Island. Here’s Cesar’s response:
“I truly focus on the customer. People tell me that, when they come here, they feel welcome and like part of a family. We will have people stop by and just hang out and drink a beverage while we are cutting hair.”
Cesar went on to tell us that he originally opened Red Barbershop about five years ago. He was doing so well that he needed more space, so he closed that location and opened the current location about two years ago. His father was a Master Barber, cut hair for over 30 years and owned a barber shop. Cesar grew up around his father’s barber shop, and at age 10, he started helping in the shop and did his first haircut when he was 12.
We also wanted to know what their mission is at Red Barbershop & Salon and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s what Cesar had to say:
“I’m just doing what I love every day, and I’m very thankful for that and try to make that reflect in the work that I do.”
Building Success by Giving Back to the Community
When we asked Cesar what their secret is to such a strong online reputation at Red Barbershop & Salon, he said:
“I just do my job and find that my customers leave me reviews. When I read these reviews, I realize that, wow, I am doing a great job, and it really gives me a feeling of accomplishment.”

“We will work with local homeless shelters and group homes providing either free or discounted haircuts. Right now, it’s summer and it’s hot, so we try to hand out some free beverages as well to keep everyone cool. My goal is to keep growing through the great service we provide.”
