Not Your Average Barber Shop
We were excited to learn all about how Uptown Barber Lounge has been able to build such an impressive reputation, so we sat down with the Co-Owner (with his brother), Mike.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Uptown Barber Lounge stand apart from their competitors. Mike told us that they are an all-around barber shop that can offer the latest styles to any client, whether they’re 80 or eight. He said that their environment is very important to them, and they make sure it is laid-back and not at all threatening.
Mike also told us a bit more about their business mission. He said:
“It’s deeper than cutting hair; we teach and invest in our barbers, and our barbers teach and invest in our customers. As a barber here, you have many different roles — you could be a counselor one day, a sports anchor the next, or just a friend. Barbering is just an access point to connect with all the great people we serve.”

“Take care of the customer first and foremost. At the end of the day, online marketing is extremely important — it’s the heartbeat we live in today. The reality is, if you do not get involved with an online presence, you will miss out on a lot of opportunities.”
