We took a few minutes to talk with Tera Shade, the owner of Bliss Salon & Day Spa, to learn a little bit more about the business and how they managed to build such an impressive online reputation.
The first thing we wanted to know was what sets Bliss Salon & Day Spa apart from the many beauty salons in Alabama. Here’s what Tera had to say:
“It’s our friendliness [that sets us apart]; we treat our customers as friends — we know their first names and what has been going on in their lives. We make sure that our customers walk out feeling better than when they came in. We’re in a great, secluded area that is serene, relaxing and peaceful. It all contributes to the feeling our customers get and the experience they have with us.”
Tera added that at Bliss Salon & Day Spa, they offer a variety of services that aren’t typically on the menu at other salons and spas, including couple’s massages, scar removal, Ultrasonic Cavi Lipo and tattoo removal.
We also asked Tera what their mission is at Bliss Salon & Day Spa and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s her response:
“This is a great month where all of our requests for donations and contributions start to come in. We support local issues around here, especially if it pertains to women’s issues, children or animals. We have fundraisers that go towards victims of hurricanes and floods, and towards local women’s shelters. For the women’s shelters, we give free hair services to increase their confidence to get out in the world again and feel better about themselves.”
