We wanted to learn a little more about this award-winning business and its impressive online reputation, so we took a few minutes to talk with Julie Petersen, the owner of Prestige Salon.
The first question we had for Julie was what sets Prestige Salon apart from their competition in South Dakota. Here’s her response:
“We have a fantastic location that is easy to get to, and it is big and spacious to ensure comfort. We are also very education-driven; our stylists help one another out and deliver quality work and service”

“People love to get their hair done, and we get to make them feel beautiful. It’s just fun!”
Building Success Through Online Presence
When asked about the Prestige Salon secret to a strong online reputation, Julie said:
“Our reputation is strong because, six years ago, I started going out and making as many accounts as possible on different review sites and built an online presence. We participated in a program in our city of Watertown where we got a bunch of content together, and it was posted on the city’s website. That got us a lot of attention.”
Outside of building a powerful online reputation, Prestige Salon has gotten their name out there through Instagram, Facebook, and by having high-quality retail lines.
