We wanted to learn more about this two-time award winner and how they managed to build such an impressive online reputation, so we took a few minutes to talk with Sandra Holloway and Eileen Phillips, sisters and the owners of Tasteful Connections.
The first thing we wanted to know was what makes Tasteful Connections a one-of-a-kind catering company in New York. Sandra and Eileen told us that they’ve been in business for more than 35 years and have developed a reputation for being a company that cares about its clients, staff and community, and that operates with heart.
Sandra and Eileen went on to tell us that they are like partners in crime inside and outside of the business and that one of their employees will be celebrating their 25th anniversary with the company this week!
We also asked Sandra and Eileen what their mission is at Tasteful Connections and how they work to make the world a better place. Sandra and Eillen shared with us about the many ways they give back to their community, including working with Ronald McDonald House, donating meals to families with children in the hospitals and others in need, partnering with Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network (RAIHN) — which helps homeless families achieve sustainable independence by assisting them with shelter, food, personalized care management and more. Furthermore, they support international missions in Nicaragua by donating money and helping to build churches in local communities.
Sandra and Eileen told us that, overall, they feel blessed and lucky to be in the position they are in and feel it’s necessary to help out those who are less fortunate.
Building Success by Bending Over Backwards
Sandra and Eileen attribute Tasteful Connections’ strong online reputation to their commitment to bending over backward to accommodate their clients right off the bat, which starts by building a good relationship with them. They also thank their clients with thank you cards and gift cards, and they invite their clients to give them a review on their invoices.
