Monica Holmes, the owner of The Clean Plate Club, took a few minutes out of her day to tell us a little more about this one-of-a-kind catering company and the impressive online reputation they’ve managed to build.
To start our conversation, we asked Monica what it is that sets The Clean Plate Club apart from their competition in Tennessee. She told us that all of their events are created for that client specifically; they’re not cookie-cutter. They offer customization and a wide menu variety. Also, the customer deals with one person and one point of contact from start to finish, and all of their Chefs are trained and certified.
Monica went on to tell us that she’s a single mother who started The Clean Plate Club 40 years ago. Today, her son is her partner, her daughter-in-law is the Bookkeeper and her grandson is a full-time member of her catering staff.
We also wanted to know why they do what they do at The Clean Plate Club and how they give back and make the world a better place. Monica shared with us that they are always doing catering events for the community, giving price reductions, making donations and giving leftovers after large events to the mission.
