Not Your Average Child Care Provider
We were excited to learn all about Noah’s Ark Daycare/Preschool and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the Director, Brenda Howard.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Noah’s Ark Daycare/Preschool stand apart from its competitors. Brenda told us about the diversity and understanding that their team is able to provide:
“Our staff is very diverse, and we represent the population that we serve. People like to go where they are understood. We understand their language and culture, and make them feel welcomed. We have a large Spanish-speaking population, and we have teachers that know the language.”
She went on to tell us that their mission is to help one child at a time, saying:
“Our children are sponges, and they learn from what see, hear, and touch. We help them believe that they are important and can be all they can be.”
She also told us about this awesome recent event they hosted:
“We had an event with superheroes, and we chose to have the Incredible Hulk as our main hero. Our thoughts were that each child might think they are ordinary, but when they need strength, it is deep inside of them, just like the Hulk. We also chose the Hulk because he was green, and he could represent every nationality.”
Building Success And Giving Back
Noah’s Ark Daycare/Preschool has earned a fantastic reputation, both online and off, so we wanted to know about some of the ways they have managed to get their name out and grow their business. Brenda said that they do a lot of outreach in their community, where they host science fairs, collaborate with a food bank, do a coat giveaway, and do an annual Christmastime toy drive. Brenda said that there is no child at their school who will wake up without presents on Christmas morning.
