Not Your Average Child Care Provider
We were excited to learn all about Peppertree Children’s Center and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the Executive Director, Debbie Brol.
Peppertree Children’s Center was founded in 1982 They are a non-profit child care provider that has been loyally serving Germantown, Maryland, for nearly 40 years! They are NAEYC certified and a Maryland EXCEL level 5 childcare provider. They are incredibly family-oriented, and Debbie said that they form a bond with their families and grow quite attached to the children they care for.
Debbie also told us all about their business mission:
“Our mission is to provide the best possible care and education for children, ages six weeks to 12 years of age, in a healthy, multicultural environment that encourages all children to explore and grow socially, emotionally, academically, and physically. We also recognize that the welfare of the family unit is integral to the well-being of the child and strive to work with all families to ensure a successful early-childhood experience.”
Building Success by Providing Loving Care
Peppertree Children’s Center has earned a phenomenal reputation, which Debbie says is thanks to word of mouth and referrals from the happy families they provide care for.

“I would say they need to remember how important the families are. Respect all families, regardless of their income… We have learned how to respect our families, and we try to understand where they are coming from and do not judge them.”
