We were excited to learn all about The Child Development Cooperative and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner and director, Jennifer.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes The Child Development Cooperative stand apart from its competitors. Jennifer told us about their emphasis on protecting childhood with a structure that is play-based. She said:
“What sets us apart is our play-based philosophy. Children learn through play, and it’s our duty to protect that authentic childhood for children. We spend a lot of time outside, and we incorporate parents into our program as well.”
When we asked Jennifer about their overall mission, she shared that it’s all about valuing childhood and doing everything they can to support the children entrusted into their care.
