Not Your Average Chiropractor
We had a chance to speak with Andrea Finch, marketing director of BackFit Health and Spine, about the business’ terrific online reputation. When we asked what the BackFit difference was, she said, “We are integrated—we’re medical, chiropractic, physical therapy, and massage therapy (and we’re able to bill insurance for a lot of our services). For instance, vitamin deficiency testing and fruit intolerance testing, we are now billing insurance for all those sorts of things. S,o our patients have been able to save thousands of dollars out of pocket to get those tests done and we can now bill insurance.”
Building Success Through Understanding and Education
Andrea had the following advice to other businesses hoping to build and sustain a great online reputation:
“Help meet patients where they’re at in their life. This means being more flexible with hours to accommodate patients or just providing education so patients know what’s going on with their own bodies. [Those are] really the two key things that we have addressed in all of our clinics…What really appeals to the people is being transparent and accommodating their needs. When you’re in health care, you have to educate people as to what’s going on in their life. I’m also a holistic nutritional coach and you’d be surprised how many people just don’t even know how to eat or know the proper things to eat. So, that’s what I love—the educational piece, because we’re teaching people what is correct for their body versus what society may think. Meeting patients where they are at in their life and kind of going from that point to helping them get a better handle on their health is really key to having a great business or presence in the community.
