Colorado’s Top Rated Local® Dance Studio Award Winner: Colorado Conservatory of Dance

We are excited to announce that Colorado Conservatory of Dance is a 2018 Top Rated Local® award winner! For years, they’ve brought the joy of dance to people of all ages, and thanks to happy reviews from many of those people — they’ve earned a phenomenal 96.00 Rating Score™. Here are a couple of those rave reviews:

“Excellent dance studio for all ages! The full schedule of adult classes keeps dancers of every level challenged and engaged while getting in a full-body workout. The teachers are incredibly supportive of learning ballet in all walks of life, and the studio has built up a wonderful community of adult dancers.” -Rachel F.

“My daughter has been attending Colorado Conservatory of Dance for 6 years. We couldn’t be more pleased with the school. The director of the school is able to balance technique with a genuine concern for dancer health. We’re very comfortable with the environment and we love the instructors.” Tim W.

We had a chance to speak with executive director, Richard Cowden, regarding Colorado Conservatory of Dance’s stellar online reputation. This is what we found out:

What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?

We provide the best possible experience to as diverse a group of dancers as possible, and we back it up with the kind of service that comes from a family atmosphere. We want to make dance available to everybody and we live by that.

What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?

We are atypical because we are a non-profit. This means we have a mission beyond the typical dance studio, which is to bring dance into the community and make dance available to everyone. Our instructors are world class.

Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?

At Colorado Conservatory of Dance, we unleash individual potential and invigorate community through dance.

Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?

We have a communications coordinator in-house and we try to have a strong social media presence. We also do some limited advertising as non-profit budgeting allows. We try to get into public service announcements and partner with other non-profit organizations.

What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?

Be honest and transparent, because your customers will always find out the truth. Be highly responsive.

Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, Richard! Congratulations to you, as well as the entire team at Colorado Conservatory of Dance, on your 2018 Top Rated Local award!
