We spoke with owner, Carol Norte about her business’ online reputation and her dedication to helping others. This is what she had to say:
What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
When I started my business, I knew how important it was to me to treat everyone with the utmost respect. Since then, I’ve hired a ton of amazing massage therapists and aestheticians who share that same viewpoint and apply their extensive experience to carry it out. In fact, all of our therapists have a minimum of 10 years of experience before even coming on board.
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
We work together as a team while maintaining our independence. We want to offer an approach grounded in quality, and we strive to educate our clients on the importance of massage to everyday wellness. Our massage times are longer than normal, helping us to get great results. When it comes down to it, each of us just tries our hardest to make sure our clients are well taken care of.
Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?
I personally found that massage was one of the only things that made me feel better when I was ailing. I want to offer that to others. Beyond that, I take quite a bit of pride in helping the therapists on my team grow their independent book of business. More than anything, it’s all about that good feeling I get when I help my clients and provide them with something so beneficial in the long term.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
I do quite a bit of networking and Chamber of Commerce meetings. We also have an email newsletter that goes out to over 1,000 people. Our therapists also handle their own marketing in whatever way they see fit.
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
Get on Yelp, but only if you’re good. Ask for the review, or even set up a system where clients are automatically asked to leave reviews. Make sure to have a good website to help convert traffic.
