What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
The number one thing you can do is to always be awesome to your customers and treat them like you would want to be treated. From there, make sure you ask for a review! Give your customers a link to your Facebook or Google page, and always ask for feedback. At the end of the day, it’s all about the customer service experience. In every job, know-how is important, but knowing how to treat the customer is just as important.
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
We’re awesome at what we do because we don’t use a lot of technical speak that our customers can’t understand; we make it a point to them on their level. We also don’t make our customers feel bad; we’re all good at different things. We always make sure that our customers feel special and valued.
Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?
We provide superior services in all aspects of our business because we want to make the full experience of working with us as positive and as stress-free as possible for our customers.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
From the day my business was founded, I’ve done some type of marketing any time there’s downtime, even if it’s just for a 10-minute window. Working on my business versus just working in my business makes a huge difference. In the beginning, I would go to local businesses, shaking hands and handing out business cards, and even posting flyers in the supermarkets. Today, we have a specialist who manages our social media accounts — Facebook, Instagram and Twitter — at least once a day.
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
Online reviews are the new word of mouth — which is the best form of advertising — and you should never underestimate the power of a customer review.
