We wanted to know what makes Vermont’s number one computer IT service so special, so we took a few minutes to talk with the owner, Travis.
The first question we had for Travis was what makes Pure PC Repair unique compared to their competition in Vermont. Travis pointed to the next-level customer service they offer and said:
“I’m not trying to suck every dime out of everyone. I know what I need to get by, and I don’t need to make any more than that. My average computer repair is $40-60, and the same job done by anyone else is around $120. There’s no need to charge someone $60 an hour for something that only takes 20 minutes.”
Travis went on to say:
“I get a lot of older customers who don’t know a lot about computers. I show them firsthand. Sometimes, I’ll spend 30 minutes on the phone with them, even though I’m not going to make anything off of it. They like that; they want that time spent with them so they can understand things. They didn’t go to school for it. At my age, we had computers growing up, but they didn’t. It helps them when I explain things without rushing them…”

It’s a lot easier to sink $60 on a repair than going out to buy a new one that’s not even half of the computer they have. I just want to keep people happy, and I don’t want them to keep spending. They shouldn’t have to buy a new computer every three years. There’s no need for it…”
