We were excited to learn all about The Computer Clinic and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Mike Scaggs.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes The Computer Clinic stand apart from its competitors. We learned that The Computer Clinic prides itself on offering reasonable pricing as well as being incredibly honest. Mike said that they don’t try to sell products that the customer doesn’t need. He told us about why that is so important in Bloomington:
“Just because this is a college town, that doesn’t make it right to charge more or refuse to work on something just because you want to sell them on a new version.”
Building Success By Giving Back
The Computer Clinic has earned a fantastic reputation, so we were excited to hear about some of the ways they have gotten their name out and grown their business. Mike said that their success is all thanks to word of mouth. He also helps to take care of a lot of other businesses in town and is incredibly active in the community, where he donates to different organizations. He told us that when people give him their old computers, he will fix them up and donate them to those in need. He also works with the local women’s shelter. Mike is dedicated to giving back to others and told us that he would like to do more to let students know about his services so that they don’t get ripped off somewhere else!
