What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
I have amazing students who are excellent about going online and leaving honest reviews about their positive experiences.
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
We don’t have a cookie cutter approach to teaching dance. Whether the lessons are for a social event, competition, period or historical dance, or preparation for a first dance — learning to dance for a wedding — we have the means and are dedicated to meeting your wants, needs and desires.
Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?
First and foremost, we love to help people experience the joy of dancing. We love to be involved in the community and work with local charities and events, like the Historical Elitch Gardens. We get to enjoy helping children through Frontier Girls, and we get to help brides and grooms determine their dance chemistry. Last but certainly not least, we enjoy helping our customers learn to be more comfortable with dancing by providing them with expert tips.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
We have a strong community presence; we even handle the stage for the City of Littleton during Western Welcome Week. We also put on bridal shows, dance demonstrations and student recitals, and we have a video series on YouTube!
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
Focus on building your online reputation, but don’t stop having face-to-face interactions. Networking is important, and you should be doing it both virtually and in real-life with other professionals in your industry. Make it a point to get out and be a part of the real world, and ensure that you are letting people know what you’re doing when you’re out in the real world. Don’t forget about your fans; keep in them in the know about what you’re up to through a newsletter, social media or networking party/open house.
Last but certainly not least, don’t hide your light from the world; let it shine!
