Not Your Average Dance School
We were excited to learn all about Empire Ballroom Studios and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner and founder, Sid Pocius.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Empire Ballroom Studios stand apart from its competitors. Sid said:
“The main ingredient is our foundation for fundamentals. We are all professional dancers. It is our hobby, our lifestyle, and our passion. We are having fun and providing the best service that we can. We try to take care of every single person.”
Sid told us that he got his start teaching at other studios, but he was never really happy with how they were doing things, so he created a studio of his own, operated by people with a passion for dance. He shared:
“We are dancers! I have danced and competed around the world and had a successful career in dancing. The benefits of dancing are endless; it promotes teamwork, social skills, culture, and health.”
