Not Your Average Electrician
We wanted to learn what makes this award-winning business tick, so we took a few minutes to talk with Tom Radin, the owner of Radin Electric.
To kick off our conversation, we asked Tom about what makes Radin Electric unique compared to the many other electricians in Ohio. Tom told us:
“As far as I’m concerned, every little job matters. It doesn’t matter how big or small it is. My dad has always taught me that there are companies that, unless you can provide a great feast for their entire family, they won’t help you. …It doesn’t matter how small or how big the job is, I think everything is important.”
Tom went on to tell us a story of a time he worked in a woman’s house who had 20-year-old carpet. As he was laying down drop cloths, she told him not to waste his time because of how old the carpet was. He replied:
“Ma’am, I appreciate that but, if you’re still using it, I’m still going to protect it.”
We also asked Tom about the Radin Electric mission and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s what he had to say:
“The Bible tells us that if you’ll be faithful in a few things, God will make you ruler over many. I believe that where businesses misses it most of the time is that they spend most of their time going after the big fish, not realizing that the small fish is the one that needs to be caught first. It’s amazing how I go in and do a small job for somebody, and then they become a faithful customer. As a matter of fact, the very first customer I ever earned is still with me 13 years later. I think that number one, my mission is trying to provide the best possible service that I can give, to keep God in my heart and to try to move forward with Him at all times.”
Building Success Through Customer Satisfaction

“Business is not about money; it’s about customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction provides a benefit that we call money. Without customer satisfaction, money won’t come. “I firmly believe with all my heart that what’s really going to drive people to me is what honest people say. When you complete the job with integrity, honesty and customer satisfaction in mind, they will leave reviews. Once the reviews have been posted, others can get a quick glimpse into the innermost workings of your company. Our customers are our greatest asset. Without them, we have no purpose.”

“Be honest; be upfront; be personable. People don’t want somebody who treats them like a number.
