Top Rated Local® is pleased to announce that Partners in Careers is a 2018 award winner for employment agencies in Washington!

The team at Partners in Careers connects people in their community to workforce skills and jobs, helping them break through barriers and lead more independent lives.

Partners in Careers has received dozens of online reviews with an average rating of 4.64 stars, earning them a wonderful Rating Score™ of 90.41 and a 2018 Top Rated Local award for being ranked among the top 10 employment agencies in all of Washington.

Here’s just one of their many five-star reviews:

“I can’t begin to brag on Partners in Careers nearly enough for all the help that they’ve given me and my move from Vancouver. I came here injured, and the ladies downtown at Partners in Careers gave me gas vouchers, a place to use the internet and a clothes voucher. I truly believe that the people who work at PIC want to see the homeless succeed and for everyone to have a great career. I can’t begin to thank them enough. Thank you!” – Leonard K

Not Your Average Employment Agency

At Partners in Careers, they don’t give people handouts. Instead, they are dedicated to helping people become self-sufficient. Whether it be a criminal record or a lack of experience or an education, people often have barriers to securing jobs. The team at Partners in Careers helps them get through those barriers, so that they can walk into an interview with confidence and move forward in their lives.

Partners in Careers offers all kinds of programs, including programs for young people and veterans, DSHS for parents on state assistance and more, and they’ll help anyone who walks through the door.

We asked Willow O’Briant, an administrative assistant at Partners in Careers, why they do what they do and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s what she had to say:

“When people have the tools that they need, they can succeed in life and take care of their families. Our mission is to assist individuals to become economically self-sufficient by providing resources, training and job placement opportunities. We have a ton of different partners, many of them nonprofits, that help people get what they need to become self-sufficient. Sometimes, that means jobs training. Sometimes, it’s finishing a GED. Sometimes, it’s resume and interview workshops to help build confidence. We can also set up mentorships to help expose people to the different opportunities in our area.”

Building Success by Treating People Like People

Willow credits Partners in Careers’ strong online reputation to the fact that their great staff truly cares about helping people. They treat every person who walks through the door like a person, and they care about where they are in life.

Partnerships and previous clients have helped to build Partners in Careers’ powerful reputation, both on and offline. They also do a lot of work in the community. If any opportunities come up that allow them to go and meet people, they take them! And although a lot has changed in the 25 to 30 years that they’ve been around, their mission has always remained the same.

We asked Willow what advice she has for other business owners looking to grow their business and build their online reputation. Here are the words of wisdom she shared with us:

“My advice would be to treat people like people. When you really care about someone, they can tell.”

Congratulations to the team at Partners in Careers for being a 2018 Top Rated Local award winner, and thank you so much, Willow, for taking the time to speak with us!
