We had a chance to discuss Turning the Corner’s stellar online reputation with CEO and founder, Kendra Prospero. Here’s what she had to say:
What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
I think our secret is just that we genuinely want to serve our clients. It’s one of our goals as an organization to make sure our clients feel whole. We’ll work and rework cases until they do.
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
We are truly the experts in this job market; nobody knows it better than we do. Our team supports individuals on their job hunt and helps good companies grow. We are the only company in the country that really, legitimately works with both sides of the table every day. Because of that, we have a lot of compassion for both the employee and the employer.
Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?
We’re passionate about helping people love their jobs and helping employers love their employees. It’s been my life mission to do all that I can to end suffering in the workplace. So many people hate their jobs, and it’s a wasteful thing. All of us give up the best hours of our day and the best years of our life to our work, so we should love it. If you don’t love it, nobody benefits.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
I’m a nationally recognized keynote speaker, so that gives me the opportunity to share my passion and spread the word onstage. Online marketing is big for us, but we also have an amazing sales team that knows the Colorado job market really well. We do a lot of work with various nonprofits and local organizations, as well.
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
Just be authentic. Integrity is important, so don’t try to buy reviews. Really take care of people. Sometimes, businesses forget what the customer really needs, and that’s where we begin. How can you not get good reviews if you provide excellent service?
