“I have 13 years of experience and I’ve done weddings all over the state of Kansas and even a few in Missouri. In this industry, it takes a lot to stick it out that long since it’s a lot of weekends, nights, long hours, etc, but I love every minute of it. I am well known in the community, and I develop friendships with my clients and the vendors. Having the extensive inventory helps my clients save time and money by getting the planning and rentals from one company.”

“I want brides to put their trust in me because I’ve done this so many times. I know that they’re going to be heavily involved in the process, but everyone needs guidance when it comes to pulling off the fruition of one’s dream day. It really is the parents that have to run all the details, and they don’t really get to enjoy the day — it doesn’t allow them to sit back and have the day with their family. What I try to do is take on that business and sell my services to the whole family so I’m the one running around, not them!”

Right now, I’m planning a wedding for the sister of a bride whose wedding I arranged 10 years ago. I also have a family that I have done five weddings for them!”

“Build trust with your vendors and clients so they help you spread the word. The trends are constantly changing and how we communicate and get ourselves in front of clients is always changing, stay up to date on what is new. A new business doesn’t become successful overnight and with this industry the more experience you have the more trust you will gain. It takes persistence and faith for sure.”
