Not Your Average Event Planner
We were excited to learn all about One Fine Day and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Sarah Parlos.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes One Fine Day stand apart from its competitors. Sarah told us that they create a mission statement for every event, since each event is unique. She passionately told us about their love for the events they get to be a part of:
“Every event is the most important event to us.”
She went on to tell us about one of the most unique features of One Fine Day; their services include floral design! That makes One Fine Day able to do that much more to take the stress off of their busy clients. Sarah said:
“We are the only wedding planners that also do floral design in the state of Connecticut! I was very blessed to have received floral training early on.”
Building Success And Giving Back
When we asked Sarah what One Fine Day does to help make the world a better place, she excitedly told us about the many charitable accomplishments they have been a part of. They work extensively with nonprofits, like providing holiday floral arrangements for the Hillstead Museum in Farmington, donating centerpieces and floral arrangements for a local church’s ladies’ brunch, and always offering military discounts. Sarah told us a bit about her commitment to giving back:
“Any time we have the opportunity to give back to a cause or group that is worthy, we will. Giving back is also a way to build a relationship. When you donate your time, it shows that you really care. Time is the most valuable thing you can donate, since everyone always wants more time. It makes a difference to do something truly free of charge, because it shows that you actually care about them.”
