“I should have written this review months ago, but I’ve had trouble coming up with words that will do justice to the incredible impact this studio, its instructors, and my fellow students have had on me. I was lucky enough to learn about BCB just as it opened, and I have been going to class almost every weekday since! I’ve never been a workout junkie, but now my day just isn’t the same without my barre fix!…Each instructor brings a unique personality and I love that classes are offered in such a way that I get to work with each of them. The BCB instructors are positive and excited about what they do. To better understand how Beer City Barre has been able to create such an impressive reputation, both online and off, we sat down with the owner, Cori. We asked what it was that made Beer City Barre stand out from the crowd. She shared:
“We are the only locally owned Barre Studio in Grand Rapids. We encourage love and friendship. Whoever walks through our doors can consider this place home,”
Cori mentioned that Beer City Barre’s mission was to bring awareness to locals and to encourage community. Because of this community-forward business plan, word of mouth has been vital to this company’s growth.
Building Success Through Social Media
We wanted to know more about how Beer City Barre has worked to build their online reputation. Cori told us that social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook have been valuable tools for their business and that local social media influencers have been able to share their brand.
With Beer City Barre’s success in mind, we figured Cori would be a great source of information for other businesses looking to build up their own successful reputations. We asked Cori if she had any advice for those companies. She shared the following wisdom:
“Set a plan and stick to it! Try and post at least five times a week. Get your members involved and get them to tag you. We run challenges to get customers active in what is being promoted. W make sure to encourage them to feel like a part of the story.”
