Not Your Average Fitness Center
We were excited to learn all about Blind Dog Gym and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Mark Valenti.
Mark opened Blind Dog Gym in 2012 with the goal of creating a functional fitness atmosphere. This family-owned and -operated gym is inclusive and welcoming, happily accepting all kinds of people with a wide array of backgrounds. If you find yourself at one of their classes, you will quickly see that they specialize in powerlifting movements, running, and sprinting.
Mark told us a bit more about their business mission and the kind of community they want to build:
“Our mission is to build a community and tribe. We want to change people’s lives altogether. We want to build a community of healthy people, both mentally and physically.”
Building Success by Focusing on the Client Experience
Blind Dog Gym has earned a wonderful reputation, so we were excited to hear about some of the ways they have gotten their name out and grown their business. Mark said that he has utilized social media platforms, like Instagram, and has used podcasts to help get the Blind Dog name out. Word of mouth has been vital for their growth, and members have noticed how much Mark cares about them and wants to see them grow.
