Jimmy, the owner of Taylor Door, took some time to speak with us about Taylor Door’s success online.
According to Jimmy, the key to Taylor Door’s stand-out reputation lies in their streamlined process. He said, “Entry doors are our core business; we assemble and build doors here. We are a manufacturer that sells directly to the public.”
Taylor Door is a long-standing family business, and their team works hard to provide personalized family service every day to their customers. “We are a small, family business. My father started a vinyl windows and doors business,” Jimmy said. “We help out homeowners, educate them on entry doors, and give them a fair price and a good product. We stand behind our product, versus huge companies out there that send in the high-pressure salesperson. Basically, we are straight shooters from hip, and in the end, this is what you get.”

What’s the Taylor Door secret to success? When we asked Jimmy, he said, “As the owner, I am directly involved in every sale. We’re a small, well-run business, which gives us more ownership involved in each transaction versus someone who might work somewhere for six months.”
Here’s Jimmy’s advice to other businesses that are looking to improve their online reputation:
“You can’t get too big. We could get bigger, but then I’d lose [our quality] and become like these other companies. Stay comfortable, and maintain the quality; it’s nice to do big numbers but then usually something suffers. Only take on what you can handle. [You] can’t be too greedy.”
