Hawaii’s Top Rated Local® Award Winner: Extreme Exposure

Top Rated Local® is pleased to announce that Extreme Exposure is a 2019 award winner in Hawaii!

If you can’t get enough of Hawaii’s limitless beauty, you’ll love the Extreme Exposure art gallery in Hilo.

Extreme Exposure has received hundreds of reviews on five verified sites with an average rating of 4.86 stars, earning them an outstanding Rating Score™ of 98.59 and a 2019 Top Rated Local award for ranking among the top 50 businesses in all of Hawaii!

Here’s just one of their many five-star reviews:

“I love this gallery and all their works of art. My practice walls are lined with his work. My patients admire and love his work, and so do I. We are very lucky to have this artisan and photographer on our island.” – Misako M.

Not Your Average Photographer and Art Gallery

Bruce Omori, the owner of Extreme Exposure, generously gave us a few minutes of his time to tell us about this one-of-a-kind business and its award-winning online reputation.

The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that sets Extreme Exposure apart from the many other art galleries in Hawaii. Here’s Bruce’s response:

“I sell prints of my work at Extreme Exposure. The service part isn’t a huge component. I also do photography workshops. I am local, born and raised. I know the island like the back of my hand, and I pride myself on having a high level of integrity, personally and in my work. It is hard to believe everything you see in photos these days, so because of my background, that is how I present my work. I maintain a high level of photographic integrity in my shots. I don’t edit my photos to where everything was in the picture in that photo. I am committed to authenticity and integrity. I am also easy-going, so I don’t use high-pressure sales to sell my work or put pressure on my clients to sign up for future workshops. I am also an award-winning photographer.”

We also wanted to know why Bruce does what he does at Extreme Exposure and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s what Bruce had to say:

“There are a couple of reasons why I do what I do. I love being able to expose the qualities and beauty of our island. The big island is very unique, and the wildlife and birdlife here are so diverse. Not many people know about the aspects of life here on the island, so I like bringing attention to that. These plants and birds have been here for thousands of years, and now, within the past 200 to 300 years, we have seen an influx of other species. My mission is to help educate the public about how special our islands are. Everyone likes to see beautiful scenery, and I love shooting things that are beautiful. I love sharing that with the world as well.”

Building Success Through Quality Products and Services

When we asked Bruce about Extreme Exposure’s secret to such a strong online reputation, he said:

“I don’t solicit reviews but we do pride ourselves on giving quality products and quality service.”

Outside of building the kind of online reputation any business owner would envy, Extreme Exposure has spread the word about who they are and what they do through social media:

“I maintain a strong social media presence on Facebook and Instagram. I feel that, as a business person, it’s important to be consistently in front of potential clients and maintain a relationship with them. When the opportunity comes around or when a need arises to buy art, then, hopefully, they go to me.”

Clearly, Bruce knows a thing or two about growing a business and building an online reputation. Here’s his expert advice for the many other business owners out there:

“I think you can’t go wrong with providing quality service or products. That is first and foremost; that is why people will start talking about you. Also, be consistent with that.”

Congratulations to the team at Extreme Exposure for being a 2019 Top Rated Local award winner, and thank you so much, Bruce, for taking the time to speak with us!
