Joni Christensen, the owner of Heritage Home & Garden, took some time to chat with us regarding her business’ terrific online reputation.
Getting down to brass tacks, the first thing we wanted to know was Heritage Home & Garden’s secret to success.
“We value all our customers,” Joni said. “Our belief is quality and service and we try to make everybody that comes in our door feel important. I guess that would be just a bit of basic, old-fashioned good business.”
Heritage Home & Gardens does it all, and it’s important to them to do it all well. “We offer quality, full-service design so you have the ability to have professional designers help you from all aspects of your project,” Joni said, when asked what exactly it is that makes Heritage Home & Garden different from their competition. “We offer quality products. We’re middle to upper end as far as our furniture pieces. So, instead of being disposable furniture, we have timeless pieces. Then, of course, we offer service. I guess that’s what sets us apart.”
Making the World a Better Place By Making Homes Happen
Joni and her team take immense pride in the work that they do because they know just how important it is to create the feeling of ‘home’. In Joni’s words, “Our mission is to make people happy in their homes. Our homes are [a] very important part of our lives. They are very personal and it’s our refuge from the world and so I think making our homes reflect the people’s personality and a place where they are happy to be and to bring in those that they love is very important to us.”
So, what advice does Joni have for other businesses that want to boost their online reputation?
“Try to keep that customer happy. If the customer is happy and they feel important, they’re not going to be writing bad reviews — and if they’re unhappy, try to make them happy. We don’t live in a perfect world and sometimes things go wrong but it’s what we do to try and fix it. My advice would be, when those things go wrong, try to make it right.”
