We wanted to learn a little more about this award-winning business and its impressive online reputation, so we took a few minutes to talk with Alexandra Pohorecka, the manager at Marks Jewelers.
The first question we had for Alexandra was what sets Marks Jewelers apart from their competition in Kansas. Here’s her response:
“We will literally do everything we can to make sure that it is a super satisfactory experience. Literally, anything. We strive to be the absolute best in service and we try to turn customers into friends. When you do it for 139 years, you get pretty good at it. So, we instill that attitude into every employee, and we turn our customers into advocates.”
We also wanted to know what their mission is at Marks Jewelers and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s what Alexandra had to say:
“We do participate in a whole lot of different charity events around here. I think it’s better to spend your money that way than to buy a bunch of ads. I think people recognize and care more if you care about the same things that they care about.”

When asked about the Marks Jewelers secret to a strong online reputation, Alexandra said:
“Since 2016, I’ve been using Podium, a company out of Utah, that basically encourages follow-up with customers via text after they’ve been in the store. We ask how their experience was. I did it primarily because I wanted the feedback from people that they might not necessarily express while they’re in. [We want] both the good and the bad feedback as a performance tracking tool. The upside of it is that we end up getting a lot of reviews. It is really good to know where we stand with people, the good, and the bad. If I have a negative review, so be it. Nobody is perfect. That is kind of my secret.”
