Gilbert Dayoan, the owner of Aloha Lawn Care, generously gave us a few minutes of his time to tell us about this one-of-a-kind business and its award-winning online reputation.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that sets Aloha Lawn Care apart from the many other lawn care companies in Georgia. Here’s Gilbert’s response:
“Some companies do it for the money. I do it because I love doing it! I’m ex-military and make sure that the job is done up to military standards. We get there on time and get the job done right. I also make sure that my employees all feel like they’re on the same team.”
We also wanted to know why they do what they do at Aloha Lawn Care and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s what Gilbert had to say:
“I just try to take care of customers the right way! I’m not just here to take money from them. They’re trusting me with their lawns, and my goal is to be the best!”
Building Success Through Word of Mouth
When we asked Gilbert about Aloha Lawn Care’s secret to such a strong online reputation, she said:
“In the beginning, I asked for reviews, but now people are leaving them on their own.”
Outside of building the kind of online reputation any business owner would envy, Aloha Lawn Care has spread the word about who they are and what they do by utilizing multiple advertising platforms. At first, Gilbert did a lot of marketing through Facebook and HomeAdvisor, but these days, most of his business comes from word of mouth.

“Don’t take any days off! You need to work at least 70 hours a week until you’ve got your system running smoothly. You also need to make sure you love what you’re doing. If you don’t love it, things will tend to fall apart.”
