Not Your Average Martial Arts Academy
We were excited to learn all about Team Randori Martial Arts Annapolis and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Alfred Hogan.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Team Randori Martial Arts Annapolis stand apart from its competitors. Alfred told us:
“First of all, we try to build the gym on three basic pillars: we want it to be affordable; we want it to be safe, and we want them to receive the best level of instruction possible. We work with all demographics, and we want to be able to make it work for anybody willing to put in the work.”
Alfred went on to tell us a bit about their mission and goals at Team Randori Martial Arts Annapolis. He said:
“My goal is to increase awareness of the sport of martial arts, and in doing so, the by-product is to enhance the person’s character by giving them confidence, discipline, a sense of self-worth, and to shape and form them into a positive and contributing member of society. We’re trying to build leaders; that’s the goal, especially with the kids. We are building them to be the leaders of tomorrow. People today aren’t put in difficult positions, and they lose the ability to systematically solve problems and use techniques, logic, and problem-solving skills while in the face of a difficult situation.”
Team Randori Martial Arts Annapolis offers kids’ classes for ages three to six and six to sixteen. They offer adult classes, as well.
