Not Your Average Massage Therapy Clinic
We were excited to learn all about Body Mechanix Massage and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Amanda Holt. Amanda told us that they have been in business for 12 years, but that it has really been in the last four or five that their staff has grown so much. They currently employ nine people, all of whom are exceptional bodyworkers.
We wanted to know was what it is that makes Body Mechanix Massage stand apart from its competitors. Amanda told us:
“We have a real focus on education and connection. I think that’s what makes us slightly different from other places. I build staff up to help nurture their educational needs. I give a stipend when people want to learn and grow. We also love to relay information and connect with people. there is a lot of talking in our sessions and we get to know our clients. I highly value everyone that works for me. I want to support them the best that I can.”
She went on to tell us a bit about how they do what they do:
“We view the body and mind as a whole. We all have a base of knowledge that there is an intermingled connection between our bodies and our mind. Whether that’s from posture, traumatic experience, or working in an office setting. We try to bring more understanding around that. We come at things from a very different angle. We are truly bodyworkers.”
Amanda also told us about a methodology she created herself:
“Koru Fit is my own methodology of exercise. It was born out of what I see all the time. We can get patients so far with our treatment, but movement can help them so much. So, Koru focuses on working on fascia. It brings fluidity to the spine, encourages healthy psoas, and promotes an overall connection within ourselves. Koru Fit helps to return you to your point of origin.”
Building Success Through Word of Mouth
Body Mechanix Massage has earned a fantastic reputation, so we asked Amanda how they have managed to grow their business and get their name out. She told us that the majority of their success and growth has been thanks to word of mouth.
In addition to building the kind of online reputation that any small business would envy, Body Mechanix Massage has spread the word about who they are and what they do by staying involved in the community. Amanda told us:
“We do a lot of different community events, to work on the community. Our mission is really to give what we do a better name, because it is very important, detailed work.”

“The biggest piece of advice is to not try to chase everything that is out there. Hone in on your skillset, and just do a really good job of what you already know how to do. More from a mindset standpoint, just live in success. The healthier you can be in your mindset, the more people are going to be drawn into your business.”
