What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
I thank my clients after every single appointment, and I always encourage them to leave honest feedback. Most of my clients are loyal and return often, so many of them make the decision themselves to seek out review sites and give me a positive review.
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
I focus on providing a clean and safe environment, something often (unfortunately) overlooked at other nail salons. Attention to detail in both the work itself and the work environment is a must. I also take the time to educate my clients on our techniques and why we do what we do.
Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?
I’ve worked a lot of customer service jobs, particularly in retail. This job allows me to use those skills to create something people get excited about. I love helping people do something to pamper themselves. The people I serve leave feeling “complete” or “finished”, and that’s really fulfilling for me.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
We rely pretty heavily on client referrals and word of mouth. Other than that, we strive for a solid social media presence and occasionally run paid ads.
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
Put yourself out there. Find as many ways to get reviews as possible. Also, stay active on social media!
