What Makes An Award Winning Pet Grooming Company
We were excited to catch up with Cici’s Pet Parlor and hear about how the last year has gone for them, so we sat down with the Co-Owner, Tracy.
Tracy started off by telling us a bit about their business and their team and how they got their start. She told us that she has been grooming for 22 years and that her sister has been grooming for 18 years. Tracy got her start working in a chain store back in 1999 before working at a few different shops. She said that it was during that time that she learned a lot about what not to do! Eventually, Tracy and her sister realized that they should take the plunge and attempt to open their own business. She said that they work with the mission of simply helping animals.
When we asked Tracy what makes Cici’s Pet Parlor stand out compared to others in the industry, she said:
“I think the difference is the care we put into the animals and the customers! We are fast, friendly, polite, and take an extreme amount of pride in all we do!”
When it comes to their accomplishments over the last year, Tracy told us about all of the new clients that have visited them and how they have been able to hire more like-minded people with a similar working style to them.
Making It As A Small Business
It takes a lot of courage and even more hard work to make it as a small business in today’s world. We asked Tracy what has been the most rewarding part of being a small business, like Cici’s Pet Parlor.
“The most rewarding part has been being able to run it the way we want to run it! We are family-oriented, and there is nothing stopping us from growing into who we need to be! We have shown our customers a very laid-back and different approach. I love being able to provide the best possible service to our customers and their furry friends.”
Tracy also told us about the biggest lessons they have learned so far as a business. She told us that they were the third owners of the shop, so at the start, they had a lot to prove and had to work hard to earn the trust of the community. She said that since they took over, anyone who walks through their doors has seen the drastic, positive changes they have made.
When we asked what’s next for Cici’s Pet Parlor, Tracy said that they are going to continue to work on getting their name out and getting more referrals. She said that their reputation and success so far has been thanks to word of mouth and customer service. So far, all of their growth has been organic!
