Scott Hardwich, who founded Hair of the Dog Salon in 2015 with his wife, Sally, generously gave us a few minutes of his time to tell us about this one-of-a-kind business and its award-winning online reputation.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that sets Hair of the Dog Salon apart from the many other pet groomers in Ohio. Here’s Scott’s response:
“I don’t claim to do anything different than anybody else; we just have awesome customers. I will say that my wife is a phenomenal groomer, and we also have some other great groomers who I feel separate us from our competitors. We do a lot of cuts for doodles, which are breeds mixed with poodles.”
Scott went on to tell us that Sally’s mom bred dogs, and she started grooming dogs for her mom. Sally then worked as a groomer for a company until she and Scott decided to open their own grooming business.
