In an effort to better understand the heart and mission of Casablanca, we took a few minutes to talk with the chef and owner, Youness Bojji.
The first question we had for Youness was what sets Casablanca apart from the other restaurants in Minnesota. Youness believes that food is a love language — there is no focus on money at Casablanca, but rather on bringing people together and offering them a memorable dining experience. Youness combines his French-style cuisine training with his Moroccan heritage to bring his patrons traditional European classics.
We also asked Youness what their mission is at Casablanca and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s what he had to say:
“We want to feed people. We want them to enjoy our food. Classical food has been forgotten, and we want to bring that to everyone. [We strive] to share joy with everyone, [as] food is a universal language.”
Building Success Through Experience
Youness credits their strong online reputation to the simple truth of creating an enjoyable experience for each of his customers, all of the time. Youness shared with us that he and his wife started the business with $60 in their pockets, yet chose to focus on offering the best food experience to their customers.
