“Loved the food. It’s just a little diner… the service was good, and the food was excellent. Never had better fried okra. The jerked chicken was very flavorful. The red beans and rice with andouille sausage made my mouth very happy. My husband had the catfish, which was perfectly fried, and the coleslaw, which was fresh and flavorful. We shared a piece of pecan pie a la mode, which was not too heavy and just the right [amount of] sweet. Well done! We will definitely be back.”

We got a chance to chat with Karen, the owner of K’Lynn Southern & Cajun Fusion, about her business’ overwhelming online success.
Of course, one of the first things we wanted to know was Karen’s secret to success. After all, you don’t gain an online reputation like that of K’Lynn Southern & Cajun Fusion without impressing your customers. “I love what I do; I don’t overextend my hours to where I am unhappy. I have a good, loyal, steady staff. They are awesome, and we work amazingly as a team,” she said.
What sets K’Lynn Southern & Cajun Fusion apart from other restaurants in New Mexico is the type of food they offer, as well as their dedication to excellent service. “From the time you walk in, you feel welcome. The food is really unique for Albuquerque. No one else sells alligator or catfish. We chose to serve Southern and Cajun because no one else is doing it,” Karen said.

Karen and her team do what they do, not just because they love food, but because they love what it can do for people. “Cooking brings happiness within people, just making people happy through my cooking,” Karen said. “People love coming in with their family, and I just like feeding people in general. If you enjoy what you do, it just comes out.”
