We sat down with Michael Kramer, owner of Kingsley LLC, to learn a little more about the business and how they managed to build such an enviable online reputation.

The first question we had for Michael was what sets Kingsley LLC apart from the many other restoration companies in South Carolina. Here’s his response:

“We offer a personal relationship versus sending third-party technicians, I’m the owner/operator who meets with every customer personally, spending at least 30-60 minutes on a property inspection and consultation.”

We also wanted to know what Michael’s mission is at Kingsley LLC and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s his response:

“I got started because my hometown flooded. I helped out with the clean-up crew, and I met the owner of the company. Within a few months, I was flying around the country, and I realized that either the customer or the insurance company was getting taken advantage of. Three years later, I started my own company after learning everything I possibly could about the industry. I’m trying to move away from the restoration company’s high/low tradition. This way, 90 percent of the time, insurance companies agree to pay out instead of fighting it.”

Building Success Through Customer Service

When asked what Kingsley LLC’s secret is to such a strong online reputation, Michael said:

“Customer service. I think, ‘what if my wife called?’”

Michael also credits his business’ reputation to the fact that he asks his clients for reviews:

“The first thing you need to do is ask for reviews on the site. Whatever site you’re using, they all have a link you can send to the customer when collecting the final invoice. The key is to ask for the review on the spot, and since I’m the owner, they know they’re directly contributing to my success. I try to capture that audience when they’re as happy as they can possibly be.”
