Not Your Average Self-Storage Center
Delaware Beach Storage Center is a family-owned and -operated business that has been successfully serving Lewes, Delaware, for all of its self-storage needs. We were excited to learn all about and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the Co-Owner, Timarie Thomposon .
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Delaware Beach Storage Center stand apart from their competitors. The staff here understand that moving can be awful, so they work hard to ensure that everything on their business’ end is as easy and nice for the customer as possible. This starts with using climate-controlled storage and top-of-the-line security systems (the highest security on the market at the moment) and extends to their commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Timarie told us that forming relationships with their customers is important to them, and they make it a point to check up on people and do everything they can think of to make them happy. Their ultimate goal is to have the customers’ interactions with them be the easy part of the moving process.
Building Success, Online and Off
Delaware Beach Storage Center has managed to create quite a reputation for themselves, so we were curious about how they have chosen to market and grow their business. While they have benefited from traditional techniques, like using local ads and word of mouth, they have also found success in creating and staying in touch with their community, both in person at trade shows and online through their Facebook page. Timarie said that they use their Facebook to make educational posts about how to store your things, make posts about their community, do promotional posts, and make posts about upcoming events and benefits.
